Concentrating on my surroundings is a tool for me. It helps me through times of torment. Allowing my eye to wander through the bits of light being presented is one of the few times I find actual relaxation. Allowing my mind to do it’s “thing” is key, as long as it doesn’t become a runaway train…
Here is an image that is one of those moments…
Recently I was a part of an awesome show where I shared for the first time some of my newest creations from this project. These days i have been grateful to begin able to work on my Photo Mixed Media, the realm of that work is so unique for me that it’s become therapeutic in a sense, similar to oil painting for me (when i do it) AND lately things have been so outta whack that picking up a piece and working on it’s insanely small details is a pure disconnect from everything else. I have been working on a whole variety of pieces, but this image is the one I thought of first when I wrote this out @ Dash Cafe
Njudah at Sunset, in The Sunset. San Francisco
AND what’s even more exciting, is that the pieces I’m working on with this image will be shown immediately upon completion at the Next Art I.S. Show At the ‘Everybody Bikes Gallery’.
The beginning of this project was shown at the Mojo Bicycle Cafe { here’s the virtual show } and i think that it’s such synchronicity that the next time teh work is shown its also connected to a bike shop….
All in All, thank you for all the comments and encouragements- please let me know what your favorite Cafe is in S.F. that i might inquire about having a showing.
