Around Union Square San Francisco, Slice1 (miniature shown)
This is one of my all time favorite pics i have taken of San Francisco. It’s also one of my favorite places to go and look- not at the stores for goodness sakes- at the buildings!

The piece to receive the most attention was this first city image that really hit home for me that i chose to be the first used in my mixed media- this slice-
As this was happening i realized that my appreciation for the architecture was what drew me in to begin with. When i took this picture I was deep in the midst of covering ‘Yoga for Hope’- but also remembering my own family members- so i turned for a moment to take a breath… click… deep in the tall buildings around union square i most remember my beloved grandfather, may he rest in peace, the architect. he who taught me to draw, to see and to question.
This project based on the city i love, and future cities to visit, is in remembrance of him, and his blueprints. It’s taken a ong time for me to realize i needed to do this- but here i am, and here is the project
